Q1 2026 – Traction Accelerates

A medic stopped us in the hallway and shared a recent call, minutes before we presented to Brighton Fire Chief and EMS staff on our pilot data.

Here’s what happened.

It was a motor vehicle accident with multiple passengers. There was no shared language. No English, no Spanish. Using vitalvoice, he activated auto-detect and identified Romanian. Through that interaction, he realized the injuries were more severe than initially understood and called in an additional medic unit to support patient triage.

He told us directly that without vitalvoice, patient care could have been worse.

This is a testament to the work we did in Q1 to improve language access and equity across EMS, growing from 2 pilot departments to 8 active partners.

Q1 was the biggest quarter we have had for vitalvoice, and we cannot thank our initial partners enough for giving us the opportunity to help improve communication in their communities.

We launched our first pilots with Brighton Fire Rescue and Adams County Fire Rescue in Colorado. Going into these pilots, nobody knew what real adoption would look like in the field. What we saw exceeded expectations.

Across 160 calls over 60 days, 41 respondents rated vitalvoice at an average of 5.0 out of 7.0, approaching gold standard. Even more compelling, in a post-survey conducted by the EMS Chief at Adams County, 93% of crews reported preferring vitalvoice over Language Line, the current industry standard for interpretation services.

This level of preference, this early, validated that crews not only used vitalvoice, but trusted it.

These are the moments that make it clear: communication in the field is not a convenience problem. It directly impacts decision making, triage, and patient outcomes.

Q2 will focus on expanding departments, increasing usage across agencies, and continuing to improve speed, accuracy, and accessibility in critical moments.
