Quarterly Update - End of Q3, 2025
Hi everyone,
Welcome to the first edition of our quarterly update (Q3 whoooo). We’ll use this as a foundation for future updates to share our journey — keeping friends, family, supporters, skeptics, investors, interested investors, and healthcare providers in the loop as vitalvoice.ai builds momentum.
CTO and Co-Founder Ishan Ahuja and I began this journey in February 2025 after meeting on Reddit—of all places—with the goal of improving language access and equity in healthcare. As a healthcare provider, I’ve long dreaded the clunky, slow interpreter services that too often delay care. I wanted to create something faster, more efficient, and impactful for both patients and providers. Today, live interpreters can take 30+ seconds to connect (LanguageLine data), disconnect often, and atrociously expensive; with vitalvoice.ai, we’re bringing that down to under 5 seconds.
We launched on the iOS App Store on June 18th while I was still working full-time as a physical therapist at Scripps Health, a leading hospital in San Diego, CA. By August, we were meeting with fire rescue departments and local EMS agencies, where language barriers remain urgent: 92% report them as a problem, yet only 16% have reliable solutions (JEMS, Marin County).
In mid-September, we secured a verbal agreement with a fire rescue department in Denver Metropolitan Fire and Rescue, Colorado for our first pilot, expected to begin mid-October through December, pending final legal review. We will also be working with City EMT in San Francisco on November 8th during their multi casualty incident simulation event, using this as an opportunity to continue validating and iterating on our product at this phase.
Thank you for following along—we’re just getting started.
Current Metrics:
- Paying Customers: 0
-
Pilots: 0
- 1 verbal (Denver fire rescue) + 1 scheduled event (City EMT, San Francisco – Nov 8)
- Groups that are keen to testing and waiting for IT review: 3
Best,
